View a User Profile

You can view a user profile in ShareDo by going to the administration area of the system Launchpad > Admin > Users > All > Double click User Profile

Logged-in users can view their own profiles by clicking on their user name at the top of the screen and selecting My Profile.

Accessing a user profile from the administration area does not allow access to all user details.  The user themselves is the only person who can access everything via My Profile.

Update User Email

A user can edit the contact email address on a profile depending on the following permissions in order:

  • if user has core.users.organisation.all: can edit
  • if editing self & has core.users.own.email: can edit
  • if current user is not in an org: cannot edit
  • if the current users and persons org are different: cannot edit
  • if current users and persons org are same and user has core.users.organisation.own.email: can edit
  • if none of the above rules evaluate to true: cannot edit

These rules are evaluated in order and if one of them is hit, then it ignores the next ones.

For example if a user has core.users.organisation.all but not core.users.own.email they will still be able to edit the email address of people in all organisations despite them not having the specific permission to edit their email address.

Your Signature in ShareDo

When editing your profile, you can add your signature, which you can use in documents and emails.

Click on the Signature nav bar to open the Signature blade. Here, you can upload an image of your signature or click the Draw link to draw in your signature.

Click Save to continue.

The section underneath the signature displays if the Email Signature Global Feature is enabled.  The content of the signature matches what is configured in the global feature.

The Email Signature Global Feature has an option to Enable users to override the default company signatures.

  • If this is set to No the user cannot change this section, and the global setting displayed is always used on all emails.
  • If this is set to Yes the user can override the global setting by switching Override to Yes.  You can add text and format it using the toolbar.  Any tags display in blue.  These pull in data.  As a user you cannot add more tags.

If you set override to Yes, there is an option to Use Company Default underneath the signature which switches off the override.
