The Placeholder toolbox item provides you with the ability to create a simple placeholder within your workflow. 

Common Uses

Workflows often require annotation, perhaps you want to note down why you used that "if" statement, or maybe you just want to add a note to a particular step on a workflow that you and your team can refer back to at a later date. The Placeholder toolbox item caters for these scenarios.

Pre-requisites

There are no pre-requisites for this toolbox item and it can be simply dragged onto any workflow step.

Adding a Placeholder

1. Click on the toolbox tab of your workflow canvas
2. Select the Placeholder option and drag onto the step in which you wish to place it
3. Click on the Placeholder item you have dragged onto the canvas to add in your notes
4. Enter your notes into the Action name field
