Managing System Phase Guards

Learn how you can remove system phase guards from the system

In addition to the configurable phase guards described in the article Phase Guards, some ‍out-of-the-box phase guards are pre-loaded for common scenarios.

These are defined within the global feature Custom Extension Points.

Opening this feature shows a list of the extensions added to your Clio Operate instance. These extensions may have been added by the Clio Operate product itself or by additional plugins applied to your solution.

The Phase Guard section shows a list of system phase guards present in your solution. To remove one, click the toggle button and recycle your configuration recycle.

For example, to remove Clio Operate's inbuilt reserved word checking, disable the Doesn't contain reserved words/expressions phase guard:

Or to turn off the default that checks that all mandatory tasks must be completed before a matter is closed, disable the following guard:

all mandatory tasks must be completed
