Preparing for your Clio Operate go-live

Going live with Clio Operate is a shared effort between your firm and Clio. We prepare and validate the platform. You prepare your people, complete testing, and confirm your firm is ready. Preparation runs across roughly the three weeks before go-live, and the steps below show what to do and when.

What we do and what you do

We handle the platform: setting up your production environment, migrating and validating your data, testing your integrations, and running a readiness review before you go live.

You handle your firm's readiness: nominating the right people, completing testing, training your super-users, and telling your end-users what is changing. Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) coordinates the plan and keeps you informed at each step.

Before go-live: what we need from you

Complete these on your side during the weeks before go-live. Your CSM will confirm dates for each one.

  • Nominate your project lead and super-users, and share their contact details.
  • Provide your IT and security contacts for identity and single sign-on (SSO) setup.
  • Complete user acceptance testing (UAT) and sign it off.
  • Confirm the go-live date and communicate it within your firm.
  • Send your end-user communications. We can help you draft these.
  • Confirm your super-users have completed their training.
  • Acknowledge the support and escalation path so your team knows how to reach us.

What we do to get you ready

While you prepare your firm, we prepare the platform:

  • Set up your production environment and confirm it is ready.
  • Migrate your data, validate it, and agree the cutover plan and timing with you.
  • Test your integrations and confirm they work as expected.
  • Run a readiness review with you before go-live to confirm everything is in place.

If any step depends on access or decisions from your side, your CSM will tell you what is needed and by when.

The final go/no-go

Before go-live, we hold a final go/no-go review with you. This is a short check that confirms everything is ready and agrees whether to proceed on the planned date.

From your side, your project lead, IT contact, and executive sponsor should take part. The outcome is a clear, recorded decision to go live or to hold, so there are no surprises on the day.
